Comfort Suites Sumter Near Shaw Afb

Seems to have declined a great deal in the last several years. We were shocked to see that there seemed to be people living there? And there were police and an arrest as well. We will not stay there again. It does not feel safe anymore and we've been staying there a few times a year for 15+ years.

Sunday morning someone was late to work and no one eating an early breakfast could have waffles because whoever does it had not come. They were filling it as we all left.

The indoor pool wasn't heated and the hot tub was closed. But other than that, our stay was good!

The toilet would move when you sat on it. Asked for extra towels told she had already given us some but my granddaughter used them swimming. The breakfast was horrible cold eggs and sausage not totally cooked. I got sick right after I ate both ends.

door lock woukd fail and require repair. (three failures in 11 days)- also, mattress was not comfortable. Staff flipped mattress as requested, but it really needed to be replaced with new one.

Bed OK, pillows soso. Happy hour unexpected, but satisfactory. Good value, decent location to Civic Center for Archery Tournment. Good location for restaurtents. Would stay again.

AC,had turn down to 60% to cool room. Still not efficient. Cool night, so toughed it out. Toilet rocked a bit.

Slight mildew odor in bath

We enjoyed visiting the local parks and checking out the nearby museums. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Just a heads-up, make sure to check your door lock, as it can be tricky to use. It's a great spot for friends to gather.

We had some issues with the door locks, which took a lot of swiping to get to work. It was a bit frustrating, but we managed to figure it out.

I had to change rooms and the room I was given had no working AC

I loved beautifully decorated and brand-new room here.

Whole place was fairly clean with wonderful views; decent and wonderful location in several areas within the bathroom. Location: the hotel was very close to restaurants and malls.

Excellent breakfast and happy hour drinks in the evening.

The exercise equipment was down but they offered a nearby hotel to accommodate.

The room was large, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was good and the food was always plentiful whenever I was in the dining area. The kitchen staff was kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff was efficient and professional, but lacked a sense of warmth and friendliness - seriously lacking Southern Hospitality!

My stay was decent. beds were comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was low. I really liked the warm atmosphere and generous electrical outlets. However, the cleanliness wasn't what I expected.
